A woman from Montgomery, north of Houston, found herself in a terrifying situation that ended with a fatal outcome for a 49-year-old man. The incident took place near a winery off East US Highway 290 in Stonewall, Texas.
The 45-year-old woman called for help in a distressed state, claiming that she had been kidnapped and drugged by the man who was later identified as Lance Damon Reid. Deputies responded to the call and found the woman near the winery, where she informed them that she had shot the man who kidnapped her. The woman also provided a description of the man’s vehicle, which led deputies to find his pickup on the other side of the highway, where he was found dead in the front seat.
