Braylon Benoît, a 2-year-old boy, recently survived a terrifying incident in which he was struck by two bullets during a drive-by shooting in Freedmen’s Town’s Wiley Park in Houston. The incident occurred on the night of March 8, when three cars drove by Braylon’s great-grandmother’s home and fired approximately thirty gunshots, hitting Braylon in the arm and stomach. The bullet that struck his stomach pierced his liver, causing serious injury.
Despite the severity of his injuries, Braylon miraculously survived and was able to return home after spending four days in the hospital with no need for surgeries. His mother, Arisha Howard, expressed her gratitude for Braylon’s recovery and the support of her family and community throughout the ordeal.
In a heartwarming display of love and support, Braylon was welcomed home with a special certificate and honor presented by State Representative Jolanda Jones. The community rallied around Braylon, vowing to seek justice for the innocent child and hold those responsible for the shooting accountable.
