**Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Southwest Houston**

According to authorities, the victim, a man, was struck around 9:15 p.m. while trying to cross into the main traffic lanes. It was reported that he was not using the designated crosswalk at the time of the accident. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.
The perpetrator responsible for the hit-and-run fled the scene, leaving the victim behind. However, police were able to locate the unoccupied vehicle believed to be involved in the incident on Briar Forest Drive. The vehicle in question is described as a red, unknown model, but further details about the vehicle and the suspect have not been disclosed by law enforcement.
